Ivan and Alice were looking for some fun transportation. Turning away from motorcycles, Ivan and Alice decided that a hot rod would be the way to go, so they set out to find an example from the 1930’s. They found this 1940 Mercury in Crossville, and fell in love with the color and the fact that it had four doors. Not only did the Mercury have a trunk, but the back seats were big enough for the grandkids. The Mercury has a new Ford 302 motor with an AOD transmission, along with many chassis parts donated from a 1992 Mustang. Ivan had the interior renovated about 2 years ago and plans on taking the car on a tour of Route 66 within the next couple of years.
