What would you like to share about yourself?
I have enjoyed the antique car hobby since 1966 and have been an AACA member every since. My first antique car was a 1933 Pontiac with double side mounts. straight 8. I sold it and have not seen one since. I now have 9 old cars; all drivers. Now retired and enjoy the antique cars and events that we can attend. I worked in Electronics industry for 43 plus years; been a ham radio operator for 61 years. I also enjoy traveling around the US visiting family, car museums etc. I enjoy touring with HRR however living nearly 140 miles away in Harriman,TN I am not able to attend events as often as I would like. My son, Steve who lives with his family in Florida has become interested in the antique car hobby. In 1974 I purchased a 39 Studebaker Commander. My wife and three kids would often spend a day driving the Stude to a park for a picnic and games. Recently I gave that car to him and now he enjoys the same thing with family. I think it is great to keep the hobby going and a nice way to down size my collection. After all I can still see and drive it when I visit. I expect he will receive more cars as I down size. HRR is a great club!
