Henry Ford Old Car Festival
At the longest-running antique car show in America, you’ll be immersed in the moving stories of the early automotive era, perfectly set in the place where the history of the American automobile not only is passionately preserved but comes to life every day. From the turn of the century to the Great Depression, Old Car Festival in Greenfield Village offers a raucous ride of vehicles that epitomize the earnest optimism of the American Dream.
Generations of car owners share their passion with fans during this beloved tradition, showcasing an astounding array of restored vehicles in an authentic hometown setting that brings you right into a long-ago moment.
Wander through the village, and talk to owners about their treasured vehicles. The ongoing Pass-in-Review parade is a car lover’s dream, as electric, steam and gas-powered engines are constantly in motion around you. Watch drivers engage in games of skill, see a Model T assembled in just minutes or just sit back and enjoy our experts sharing “car talks” while historic vehicles cruise.
Ragtime America comes to life in the center of Greenfield Village with historically-inspired street food, music, dancing and even a cake walk. Plan to stay late Saturday evening for the Gaslight Parade of Cars, and dance along with the River Raisin Ragtime Revue as it performs popular music of the ragtime era. Cap off the evening with a Dixieland-style parade and fireworks finale.
Southern Smoke BBQ Car Show
The Mt. Juliet Breakfast Rotary Club of Mt. Juliet is hosting a Cruise In as part of our Southern Smoke BBQ event on Saturday, September 29th, 2018. From 10:00 to 6:00.
We would love for members of your club to bring their autos. Owners of the autos will get a coupon for a free BBQ sandwich lunch.
The Cruise In will be in the parking lot of the Cloyd’s Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 595 W. Division Street, Mt. Juliet.
This is the first Cruise In that I have been involved with so I am sure there are details that I am leaving out. Please feel free to contact me with questions.

The Great Americana BBQ Festival

CRUISE-IN PARTICIPANTS GET TWO FREE ADMISSIONS & TWO FREE LUNCHES PER VEHICLE
You must be driving an antique, specialty or classic car. Free admission and lunch offer is limited to the driver and one passenger. Lunch will be served at the Volunteer Tent.
The BBQ Festival event is from 10 AM to 8 PM. Please arrive by noon to avoid anticipated later-in-the-day traffic. You may leave at any time of the day. Cruise-In vehicles will have a designated entrance (see below) and parking area. Cruise-In parking will be in an area close to the activities so that food, beverage, bathroom facilities, entertainment and music acts can easily be accessed. A tent will be provided for shade.
The BBQ cooking competition concludes around noon with awards at about 2:30. This year’s event will include craft beer, food and other vendors, and music throughout the day.
From the event organizers
The BBQ festival is hosted by The Franklin BBQ Society and The Franklin Noon Rotary Club (FNRC). The FNRC has dedicated over six decades of service to its community and has distributed over two million dollars to local charities. FNRC continues to produce The Franklin Rodeo, Williamson County’s longest running annual event, celebrating its 69th year.
Barbecue will take center stage with vendors, grilling demonstrations, a whole hog smoking contest, and a Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS) sanctioned barbecue competition, featuring 60 teams competing in five categories for over $8,000 in total cash prizes. Festival goers will be able to join in on the judging by selecting the “People’s Champion”.
This is a wonderful opportunity to represent and promote our hobby and our clubs, and support a great charitable event, which gives back to the local community.
The Franklin Noon Rotary Club will provide cash and trophies to the top three clubs with the largest member participation.
