HRR 2019 June Driving Tour
It’s time for our first Tour of the summer and we have another great day planned !
We’ll leave from Loafers Glory, (see directions for all times) and our first visit will be to see the private collection in Hendersonville Tn. Cliff has a beautiful collection of all kinds of cars, and I’m not sure of what he still has, but at one time he had quite a few Yenko Camaros & Chevy II’s.
We’ll leave there and travel to Gallatin to visit the Historic Rose Mont; a Greek Revival style house built by Judge Josephus Conn Guild for his family. It was started in 1836 and completed in 1842. Josephus was a successful judge, lawyer, legislator, advocate, horseman and solider. At its height, the once 500-acre property was a thoroughbred horse and cattle farm that entertained notable guests including former Presidents James K. Polk and Andrew Johnson. We are receiving a discount for a guided home tour at $ 5.00 each, payable at the door.
We’ll have our lunch at Rose Mont and it will be furnished by Tolbert’s Home Maid Box Lunches. Each lunch will be a sandwich, a side, a desert & tea and will cost $ 12.50 EACH, all included.
This will require a RSVP with how many plan to eat with us – because the Tour Host (me) will be pre-paying for our lunch !
As usual, you can come and go as you like and take part of any or all of our fun day, just let us know.

HRR 2019 April Driving Tour
SPRING HAS SPRUNG! It is time to dust off the old cars and get them on the back-roads of Tennessee. Our April 13th tour will do just that. First you should do a little homework: go to the Nov/Dec AACA magazine and look on pages 48-51. There you will get an idea of what is in store for you at our first stop at the home of John Bridges. John has a collection of possible concept cars including one he designed as a sportster around 1990. From there we will eat lunch at the Bar B Cutie. After lunch we will work our way to the Marathon Village where we will be greeted by none other than Barry Walker, the creator and restorer of the village. He will give us a brief history and tour of the Admin building and back in the work shops. Afterwards, you can leisurely go through the many shops in the old plant building across the street. We are looking forward to seeing everyone on this tour. Please RSVP to Butch Roth by April 9th if you plan on attending.
