Great day in Granville at the May 28th event

Beautiful weather and great cars at the Heritage Festival event “Remembering the 30’s”  from 9am to 5pm. If any of our members have photos, please send to me so they can be shared with the rest of the club.  Below is a great plaque that was presented to Tom and Barb Collins to show how they respect the Collins support of events held there. – RB

Dine-Out Night at Sonic of Murfreesboro – 5/10/2016

The threat of rain, trips away from home and summer activities held down the usual strong number of attendees, but a lot of discussion of all kinds of topics was held in front of Sonic.  And for those that stayed home because of the worry about rain – it was a dry and clear night, but I did get some bug build-up headed home.  Unfortunately our talented photographer was away so we didn’t get any member car photos or many activity photos of the cars there.  However, here are two photos to remember another great night.  If any members that were there have other photos, send them to me and I’ll add them. – RB

April 9th Tour Recap from President Tom Collins

GREAT TOUR !!!!!

The Honk Rattle and Roll tour on April 9th proved to be another great outing. We had 63 members and guests attend the event with 27 cars in the drive up to Granville. 6 cars were pre 1940 and participated in the celebration.  There was just enough visibility thru the trees for beautiful views of Center Hill Lake and the Cumberland River as we meandered up Highway 96 to Granville. Once parked next to Sutton Store, we had a country style lunch in a covered area next to the store. Even though the temperature was a bit cool, the sun and good company warmed things up. After lunch, members and guests participated in the events and attractions during the first day of “Remembering the 1930’s ” celebration.

Our thanks to the Barnes and Wilsons for coordinating the drive and preparations in Granville. Special thanks go out to Randall Clemons for the extra attention and support given our group during the visit to Granville. As a reminder of coming events, we have a dine-out night scheduled for May 10th and our next driving tour hosted by Rick Jones and Cindy Stewart will be June 11th. Details about both will be coming soon.
