Dine Out Night

We want to thank the HRR Members who attended the July Dine Out Night on Tuesday, July 10 at Garden Greek Grill.  We had 32 members in attendance and although we had spotty showers in the area, there were several of the “Old Iron” cars that participated. The food was really good and was served in abundant portions. There was a lot of conversation going on about numerous topics including member’s car projects, future Dine Outs, future Driving Tours, and other trips.

I want to thank the HRR Members who attended the May Dine Out Night on Tuesday, May 15th, at Sonic on Memorial.

For the second time this year, we had a weather event on our Dine Out Night. The first event of the year in January had to be cancelled due to snow and ice. This time we had rain and a thunderstorm that seemed to pop up right over our Dine Out location just before 6:00 p.m.

Since the sky and radar looked good prior to the event, there were already a number of us there with our Old Iron. All 34 of us in attendance had a wonderful time with good food, conversation and fellowship. Owner Bobby Arnold extended Honk, Rattle & Roll members a 50% discount for the event.

Thank you again for attending the May Dine Out Night at Sonic. We look forward to seeing all of you at the next Dine Out Night on Tuesday, July 10. The details will be announced later.

We want to thank everyone who attended the March Dine Out this past Tuesday.  This was a trip to Italy to Dine at Massimo’s La Tavola Ristorante Italiano (in Smyrna). The service and the food were excellent as was the conversation and fellowship.

This was the first Dine Out since November. As you recall, the January Dine Out was canceled due to weather. All 35 members in attendance had a wonderful time and feasted on a buffet of salad, several pasta dishes, pizza, and desert. The weather was perfect and the roads dry which made for a good opportunity to drive the Old Iron.

We want to thank you for another successful and memorable Dine Out Night this past Tuesday at The Bangkok Thai Cuisine. We had 55 members and guests in attendance including some new members and some members who have not dined with us for a while.

The weather was good and although the days are short and it was dark by Dine Out time, we had a number of members drive their Old Iron. As you can see from the pictures below (courtesy of Arleen Timbs), the majority of the restaurant was reserved just for HRR and the mood was very festive. Along with the good food was great conversation and fellowship.

HRR Members,

We want to thank everyone who attended the May Dine Out Night this past Tuesday. We had 63 members attending which is the largest number since I have been involved. The weather was great to break out the classic cars and show them off at Sonic. Being able to sit or stand outside and walk around was conducive to great fellowship and conversation. The management at Sonic was gracious in giving us a 50% discount which made the event both fun and inexpensive. Please support the places that give us good food and service.

HRR Members,

I want to thank the HRR Members who attended the March Dine Out Night on Tuesday March 21st for braving the weather to attend. We had a severe thunderstorm come through about an hour before our Dine Out time that left trees down and an eighteen wheeler turned over. Several members called to say they could not make it because they could not get out of their neighborhood due to the downed trees.

Considering the conditions, we still had a great turnout with 42 attending. The food was great and the conversation and fellowship even better.

Thank you again for attending the March Dine Out Night at the Gondolier. We look forward to seeing all of you at the next Dine Out Night on Tuesday, May 16. The details will be announced soon.

Honk, Rattle & Roll March Dine Out Night

In January, we ate in Greece (Garden Greek Grill). For March, we will make a short trip across the Mediterranean Sea to Italy. See details below.

When: Tuesday, March 21, 2017, 6:00 p.m.

Where: Gondolier Italian Restaurant, 219 NW Broad Street, Murfreesboro, TN 37130 (between Main St and Church St)

We will be ordering off of the menu. They regularly have clubs and other large groups, so they should be able to serve us in a timely manner. Many of the menu items are under $10, and the larger entrees are generous portions that can be split (they will even split them in the kitchen and bring them out on two plates).You can preview the menu at www.murfreesborogondolier.com Your choice of water or ice tea will come with the meal at no charge. Other beverages are available for an additional charge.

HRR Members,

Thanks to you, the first Dine Out Night of 2017 was a great success. There were 58 members attending, including many new members. It was a night of great food and even greater conversation. We got to catch up with each other on various topics for the first time since the Christmas Gathering in early December.

February 18th will be our next driving tour to Corvette Museum in Kentucky , make sure you make your RSVP’s on time . Our HRR Web Site HRR.AACA.COM continues to improve under the new leadership of Matt & Amy Wilson and I would like to thank George & Carol Kimble ( HRR Web Site Founder ) , Russ & Pat Barnes for the great job they had done in the past . Hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving Holiday . Find attached pictures from our Dine Out Night November 15th . This outing was well attended by 49 members . Food was good , conversation and fellowship was great ! Thanks to Arleen Timbs for the great pictures . All members should have received a invitation from our host Ronnie & Donna for our annual Honk Rattle and Roll Christmas Gathering , this activity is for HRR members , many of you have already responded to the invitation but if you have not we would like to know your plans no later then November 30th as this is a sit down Pot Luck and we want to make sure everyone has a seat.
